There was a time
  when I thought -
I did not
 exist anymore,
only God!

I thought
  there was no real me,
 only Him,
   while I was His instrument,
which He used 
  for putting His creative ideas through
for free.

I thought
 He did not need
   my deeper self -
as a lot,
  if not
 to say most,
people
  who know me,
but love themselves.

I was wrong -
 God really needs me,
an ever growing soul,
  a me
that is trying to unite with Him,
  working spiritual-
   ly.
